Plastic bag manufactured from film containing Reverte additives have biodegradable properties introduced through the additive package. The bag still mantains very good physical properties of plastics such as good transparency，waterproof ability, printability and excellent strength.
When the useful life of the bag is over and it is discarded into, for example, a soil layered viable landfill site, the bag will break up and decompose in the presence of soil based microorganisms, warmth, moisture and oxygen.
Plastic bags containing Reverte BD additives have achieved European Community food contact approval under directive 2002/72/EC and so are suitable for food contact applications.
